Two different leaks, not one. Kate Cole leads on volume but carries both the highest never-started count (15 committed recruits who never made it through onboarding) and the most off-boards (18) — a closing/handoff gap and a retention gap, which need different fixes. Lindsey Morgan's book is cleanest at 97% post-start retention with only 3 never-started. Retention is post-start only (active ÷ everyone who started); desks with very few starts are marked small-sample.

These are two different problems. Never-started is a closing and onboarding-handoff gap — recruits committed but never came through. Off-boarded is true retention — they started, then left. Velocity comes online with the daily feed, which records a snapshot each morning so within weeks the hub shows how fast recruits move and where they stall.
